Functionality
The Data Warehouse provides a database of raw data, extracted from the Vista system. It includes a wide variety of information around titles, customers and sales information in a wide range of time frames. The historical sales information is held for four years, plus the current year.
The Data Warehouse application is provided by Business Objects Xi deployment:
- The Info View portal is based on a web server, http://dwh.randomhouse.co.uk
- Business Objects Xi is the query, reporting and analysis tool
- Business Objects software is installed from the web server
- The data is held on an SQL data server
- Minimum PC requirements:
- Memory 512Mb
- Processor 1.0GHz
- Windows OS: XP Service Pack 2, Vista (all editions)
- Browser (recommended) IE7, Firefox 1.0.4

Output/Interfaces
The data is built on the output from Vista from a daily over-night feed.

Named users, menu-driven and password protected.
