TBS provides web fulfilment services to clients covering:  
  • Providing a shopping cart and e-fulfilment ‘white label’ technology platform that can be branded with client's logo, etc

The system will:

  • Collect and process customer's orders
  • Generate fulfilment requirements
  • Handle customer service (via email)
  • The customer and sales data belongs to the client publisher and will be ring-fenced
  • TBS will produce web sales reports based on customer data, etc
  • The physical fulfilment activity is managed from TBS/GBS as D2C distribution

 
Functionality

  • Clients ‘plug-in' to TBS/GBS e-Commerce system, based on a 3 tier service offering
  • Uses a simple link from the publisher’s website
  • Clients are responsible for owning the bibliographic content of their websites, etc
  • Clients will handle all marketing aspects of the site
  • Shopping basket maintained by TBS
  • Stock checked and reserved at check-out stage, with distribution system updated to hold stock
  • Market restrictions checked at time of ordering
  • Multiple pricing structures can be accommodated
  • Security and payment handling dealt with by TBS/GBS (credit card validation through payment gateway)
  • Customer address and postcode validation via web service
  • Client-branded emails enabling communication with the customer on the progress of their order
  • Customer account area, allowing customers access to their orders, despatch information and transaction history. “e-Commerce” sales invoices displayed with publisher’s logo
  • Order fulfilment – pick, pack and despatch services provided
  • Customer database updated when orders placed and available for marketing/sales analysis
