Canongate has inked a deal to acquire 100%
of audiobooks specialist CSA Word from its
owner, founder and publisher, Clive Stanhope.
All the staff at CSA will
move to Canongate’s London offices and Stanhope will remain
involved in a consultancy role.
Victoria Williams, who has been at CSA for the past seven years, has
been promoted to the position of publisher and managing director.
Jamie Byng, managing director of Canongate, said: "Audio has been
an area of publishing that has always interested us at Canongate and
recently we have published key authors such as Barack Obama, Nick
Cave and Philip Pullman reading their work.
